Happy 2012

Wow, what a year I had in 2011.  I had a very stressful year in many ways, but in some ways it was the best year I have had in many years. I had the opportunity in 2011 to grow and stretch my wings so wide, and so far it still boggles my mind. 

For years, I have been telling people that the time is now to make your life what you want it to be.  To take charge of who you are and what you want your life to look like.   And for years I did not take my own advice. 

But in December 2010 for various reasons, I decided that my life was worth more than the way I was living it.  I was in a job that was not  fullfilling my purpose here.  I was in relationships that were toxic, and I was in a city and a home that I did not like. 

The only good things keeping me there  were my beautiful children, family and friends.  I was not in love with me, or the world around me.

So, I sold my home, took a leave of absence from my workplace, and moved out to the coast.  While it hasn't been easy all of the time, it has been a huge time for growth.  And suddenly life has begun to unfold in a really surprising way.  It was hard, it was uncomfortable at times, but it was necessary and I think it was worth it.  For the last 8 months, I have been going back and forth between various thoughts and various ideas, trying to figure it out.  I would verbalize them and people would give me their opinions.  I became convinced of my path is in helping people.  The people I have helped have had some great aha moments and have been able to move forward to a better life.  I can't take the credit for all of that, because the ones I help are also helping themselves. 

So,  a few weeks ago on the advice of several people in my life, I have come to the conclusion that my path has been right before me the whole time.  I just needed to follow the road that lay before me.

So, with joy and great expectation of what lies ahead, I have chosen to leave behind my job in Calgary, and I have chosen to take on a new career in Life Coaching.

I am thrilled about it because it will allow me to continue to help people as a professional, to truly help them with a toolbox that is full of tools to use for the purpose of helping people love themselves and love their journey.

Find the love that you have for yourself within yourself and then look around you.  The answer is often right in front of you. 

So with a heart full of love for all, and a mind set on what I need to do, life is changing for the better.
