Gratitude

This weekend is the Thanksgiving weekend in Canada.  What perfect timing to talk about being grateful for all that we have.  What a perfect time to reflect on the gifts that have been given us through our lifetime.  Take a look at your life today.  Think of anything that makes you feel gratitude in your life.  What are you grateful for today?  Are you grateful for the sun that may be shining where you are?  Or are you grateful for much needed rain? Are you grateful to have had the privilege of being a mom, dad, grandparent, son or daughter?  What about your pets?  Are you grateful for the roof over your head, the food on your table and the clothes on your back?  When we come from a place of gratefulness, every day, the world is just so much better, so much brighter, and brings us more to be grateful for.  When we come from a place of gratitude every day, our life will look a whole lot different than when we don't.

I am so grateful for those lessons that I have been given to learn over my lifetime.  I feel that we should be grateful for the lessons that present themselves in our lives, because once a lesson is learned and once we move on from that lesson to the next, we are evolving and becoming more tolerant of others, more accepting of the lessons that others are learning and ready to take on the next lesson that is given to us.  We become more loving and compassionate, because we can recognize that others may be in the midst of their own lesson. Learning lessons along the way, helps us to be less judgemental, less negative and less afraid of the next lesson.

Let's be grateful.  Let's be thankful for every day.  When you wake up in the morning, be grateful for the days gone by and for the day that lies before you.  When you go to bed at night be grateful for the events of the day.  Because no matter what that day looked like, the next day will be a better day.  Faith is an amazing gift,  I am grateful for my faith in human kind.  I am grateful every day for the people in my life, and the people I have yet to know.  Happy Thanksgiving all.

Happy thanksgiving.
