New Horizons

Ever been so stuck where you are, in your story, in your safe place, and not know how to get out of your funk?

Well, it's all about looking ahead.  Not looking backwards and remembering what was or what might have been, but looking ahead, looking to new horizons.  When something hasn't worked in the past, there is a reason for it.  That does not mean that things can't work in the future, it just means things didn't work in the past.

If you look forward to the next minute, the next hour the next day and so on with a cheerful expectation of what is to come, no matter what you feel like in this moment, then looking forward to what is to come with a positive attitude can shift your world in a single moment.

So, say you are having  a terrible day, you are sad, or lonely, or you are having problems at work, with relationships, with health, or any other issue you want to name.  All you have to do, is to remember who you are, what gifts you bring to the table, and that you are not your past, you are not your story.  You are the perfect being that you have always been.  You are everything you need to be in this moment.   And this moment.  Remember who you are.   And look to new horizons.  There is something good in this world for everyone, no matter what your story looks like .

Valentine's Day

Valentine's day is coming up.  For many this day is not a happy day It can be a day filled with regret and loneliness for some.

Valentine's day should be for every day.  For those who are in a relationship with someone, try doing one special small thing, each day of the year for your loved one to so that they will remember every day that you chose them and that they are your true love and that you treasure every moment that you have with them. It doesn't have to be anything big or expensive, it just needs to be a small reminder of what brought you together in the first place.  Bring back the feeling of when your relationship was new and exciting.  And if you are in a new relationship, do yourself a favour.  Never, ever let a day go by where you don't give each other one small moment that can create that Valentine feeling.  Relationships can feel new for years and last so much longer when those special moments happen.

For those who are not in a love relationship, do one small thing for yourself every single day.  Do something that makes you feel special.  Buy yourself flowers, take yourself out for lunch or dinner, draw yourself a hot bath and put on the candles.  Make yourself a special meal, and rent a movie and then curl up on the couch and remember what a special person you are and enjoy the moments on your own.  For one day, you will be in a valentine relationship too.  So for now, just enjoy the moments with you.  Love the moments that bring you closer to you.  Then when the time is right, that special someone will show up, and then you will begin to share your time with them, and make their every day a Valentine's day.

So to all of my readers, happy Valentines Day.
